We have been providing a full range of fee-only financial planning services since 1991. These include preparing comprehensive financial plans, providing on-going asset management and doing various special projects on either a one-time or ongoing basis. Past special projects have included specialized services to small and mid-size businesses. We offer an initial free consultation to appropriate prospective clients. This is typically done by phone or at the client's home or office. We have found that it is generally better for everyone involved if we go to where clients normally keep their financial records. The fees clients pay us are considered investments. We will not recommend our services unless we are first convinced that our services will be helpful and that we will be able to show the person how to get more money back in his/her pocket than what s/he has paid us. Our fees are based upon complexity and amount of assets. Consequently, they vary from client to client. However, on average they range from about 1/10th to 1/2 of 1% of a client's total assets -- depending upon what services are provided. We do not tell our clients what to do. Instead, we provide education so that each may make informed choices now and in the future. We do everything possible to help clients implement their decisions, but we take no custody of and have no discretionary authority over our clients' assets.
